Jeffrey Getzin in 1989.

Jeffrey Getzin is a seasoned software architect and former engineer at Google and Intel, currently developing software for Doran Jones. With a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Clark University, and Master's in Computer Science, specializing in Compilers from the University of Pittsburgh, Jeffrey has a rich background in Operating Systems and Data Structures.

He has a profound expertise in development, particularly on the front-end with Angular and TypeScript. His career boasts accomplishments like developing device drivers, firmware, RESTful APIs, and complex UI applications, as well as improving application performance and refactoring legacy codebases.

Jeffrey is also an accomplished author, having written several novels, and is deeply passionate about martial arts, holding a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Additionally, he has a keen interest in film and home theater, and has competed nationally in table tennis.

In the 1980s, Jeffrey created the retro RPG computer game "Stonequest" on a VAX minicomputer at Clark. This game, inspired by classic titles like "Wizardry" by Sir-Tech Software, showcased his early programming skills and creativity.

In 2023, Jeffrey undertook the restoration of "Stonequest," converting it into a modern Angular web application, bringing the nostalgic charm of 1980s gaming to the present day.

Jeffrey lives in New Jersey with his wife, Kate, and their numerous cats. He is always open to new opportunities and collaborations, and invites enthusiasts to connect with him.
